Girls Day Ride at My Fav Bear Trail

Sunday the 3rd. It’s officially a GIRLS DAY in Japan.

Our Children’s Day is celebrated on May 5th
(and it’s a National Holiday!yey!)
but we celebrate childrens day twice a year actually.
First one is March 3rd for girls
then May 5th for boys.

Unfortunately girls day is not a national holiday though,
we do celebrate the day with special dolls called Hina-ningyou.

hina2

This is my “Hina-Ningyou”. Such a simple and cute one. Usually it’s more gorgeous with more dolls around the main boy&girl.

Anyway, we had a GIRLSDAY picnic ride last Sunday.
John didn’t forget to invite another girl rider, Ms.Chee,
(Good job John!)
and went to my favorite BEAR TRAIL.

This bear trail is such a short trail so I thought they would NOT be satisfied at all,
cuz you know, John and I usually take only 2.5hours total.
Super short trail.
Like, morning jogging before going to work.
but it was all ok
cuz
they all brought some sweet treats!!
so it was like,
2hours uphill,
took rest and ate some food,
walked a bit in the wood just to find a best spot for coffee break.
made coffee,
had some cakes and cookies,
had more coffee,
ate the rest of the treats.
rode a bit.
got to the view point,
took a rest.
started off to ride the main downhill.
DONE!!!
but
FUN!!!

See? we took 4hours this time :p

then we went to have a lunch together 🙂

It was definitely a picnic ride but it was so much fun!

You know,
you could enjoy picnic and ride both at the same time!
BEAUTIFUL!

    • mtbtokyogirl says:

Love your coffee setup. Good looking trails also.

  5. Thanks for dropping over, which gave me chance to find your blog. Love it. And your food photos are great. So different to what we would eat during or after our rides. 🙂 Oh, and you just motivated me to get out on my mtb. 🙂
