Rehab Ride in Yamanashi

I thought that I was going to take a month off from Bike this August
but I have told John enough about my trip to Utah and
he knew how much I wanted to ride

so

he took me to the first and the last ride for this month.

Haven’t rode since last month so it was my REHAB RIDE 🙂

Ride along the beautiful country landscape

We left 7am, before getting hot.
Uphill for about3hours and downhill for 1.5hours.
Total about 26km.

I’ve been there once before (about 2months or so ago) but
I think I could ride better this time 😉
Well, last time, it was after rainy day so the condition was not that good but this time it was freakin’ dry as hell
so I could be more comfy and could ride better and faster.

John’s pinkbike. Yes that’s why he is the Mr.pink reaper.

There is a small shrine about 100m before the top of the hill.

oh and I gotta tell ya one more thing!!!

there were crazy many spider webs!!
I was riding right behind John, the pink reaper, so I was fine but he got caught so freakin many times and when we finally went down the hill, he was totally covered with the web and even some spiders were hanging down from his bike and clothes  😀

Just a few minute before the trail ends, the web caught me and I lost control , fell off from the ridge of the track.
I don’t usually hate spiders but this time I did 😛

Anyway, this rehab ride was pretty much fun as usual.
and the purpose of the ride was,
1. to have FUN
2. rehab before the best season for bike
3. practice and learn the positioning
4. how to relax the upper half of the body

a little steep ( for me) and I got freaked out but tried a few times and finally made it. Ok, it took time but at least I didn’t give up.

just GO girl!

Still difficult to understand and actually hard to do as he tell me what to do but I’m getting it little by little.
Practice makes perfect, right?

😉

Nao

p.s.

I’ve missed 2 of last BBQ so I was pertty happy to make it this time

We had awesome BBQ with John’s bike buddies after that.
Told ya, I play hard and eat a LOT 😉

Great post! But put bigger photos — I’m too old too see these tiny pics. Just no pics of spiders, ‘K? I freaking hate them, too. John is a tougher guy than me — I’d freak if spiders were crawling on me during the ride. Anyway, that top pic with all the green in Yamanashi looks awesome. Glad you had a great ride! I’ll tweet this post for you 🙂

looks like fun! and a nice ride!
p.s. you should never lay your bike down on the rear derailleur side!!

I’ve seen a few people mess up the shifting/spacing just a little, then mince their r.der. …I think i need to get out and ride more…ah, time, I need more time! lol

      • mtbtokyogirl says:

ah me too! i need more time!! ( i know i get enough time for bike than you actually do though!)
obviously it’s fun and the most exciting thing for me right now! 😉

haha! and that is what happens when you get older.. lol
but, just I’ve got other joys now..
biking (mtb or road) will always be one of my passions though!
